Contact dermatitis

Contact dermatitis is a red, itchy rash caused by direct contact with a substance or an allergic reaction to it. The rash isn't contagious or life-threatening, but it can be very uncomfortable. Many substances can cause such reactions, including soaps, cosmetics, fragrances, jewelry, and plants.

Our pharmacists can help you identify and avoid the cause of your reaction, and, if conditions allow, prescribe a treatment to relieve the symptoms and help your skin heal faster.

 

Eligibility criteria and details

A pharmacist may prescribe a drug for allergic contact dermatitis requiring mild to moderate topical corticosteroid therapy.
