Heartburn and Acid reflux

Heartburn is a burning feeling in the chest caused by stomach acid travelling up towards the throat (acid reflux). If it keeps happening, it's called gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GORD).

Our pharmacists can help with heartburn and acid reflux by providing advice on lifestyle changes. They can also prescribe medicines that can help ease your symptoms.

 

Eligibility criteria and details

A pharmacist may prescribe a drug for the treatment of dyspepsia and gastroesophageal reflux disease for a maximum of 4 consecutive weeks or 6 cumulative weeks in a 1 year period.
